The Morningstar controller is PWM and extremely reliable. There has been a few failures of the switches however. Contrary to the switch manufacturers recommendation, we recommend 20 amp at 12 volt, 15 amp at 24 and relay activation only at 48. The relay needs to be a magnetic blow-out variety or SSR for 48 volt.
